Privacy & safety notice
Know what happens to your report
SafeSignal is designed to make safety observations easier to share. This page explains the current prototype behaviour so you can make an informed choice before entering information.
Anonymous by default
A public report submitted without signing in is anonymous by default. SafeSignal does not ask for your name, but hosting, security or network services may still create technical logs.
Who can see a report
Authorised local or group EHS users can see the report description and any attached photograph so they can assess the risk and coordinate action.
Share only what is needed
Do not enter unnecessary names, contact details or health information. Describe the hazard and location, and avoid identifying people unless the approved process specifically requires it.
Draft in this browser tab
An unfinished draft may remain in this browser tab for up to 12 hours so an accidental refresh does not erase your work. Close the tab and clear browser data on a shared device when appropriate.
Offline outbox on this device
If the connection is unavailable, a queued report and its photograph can remain locally in this browser until submission succeeds. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to access device data.
Demo mode does not submit
When the application clearly shows that demo mode is active, the demonstration does not send or save a report. Use the normal reporting flow only when you intend to notify EHS.
Not an emergency channel
SafeSignal is not monitored as an emergency service. For immediate danger, injury, fire or another urgent situation, stop work if safe, warn people nearby and follow the site's emergency procedure or call local emergency services.
SafeSignal
Before a real pilot starts
The operating organisation must define and communicate data-retention periods, deletion rules, responsible contacts, access roles, escalation routes and the relationship with existing incident-reporting procedures.
